What is Tranquility?
Tranquility refers to a state of calmness, serenity, and peacefulness. It is characterized by the absence of disturbance, noise, or agitation, allowing for a sense of inner peace and relaxation. Tranquility can be both a physical and emotional state, often associated with a quiet and harmonious environment, as well as a peaceful and composed mindset. Achieving tranquility may involve practices such as meditation, deep breathing, spending time in nature, or engaging in activities that promote a sense of calm, peace, and quiet and also well-being.
It is the feeling you have while sitting under a starry sky, listening to the crickets. The aura of tranquility comes from the calm in the world, which makes you feel you are without a care in the world.
From this brief narration, we can boldly say tranquility is obviously associated with Peace.
What is Peace?
Peace is freedom from disturbance, which is similar to tranquility. Peace means tranquility.
What does the Bible say about peace and tranquility?
The Bible contains several passages that emphasize the importance of peace and tranquility. Here are a few notable verses:

Matthew 5:9:
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”
These verses highlight the value of seeking peace through prayer, trust in God, and working towards peace in one’s actions. They emphasize the idea that true tranquility can be found in a relationship with God and in promoting peace and harmony among others.
What is the peace of God?
The “peace of God” is often mentioned in the Bible; as seen above. It refers to a deep and abiding sense of peace that comes from a close relationship with God. This peace is believed to surpass human understanding and is characterized by a profound inner calm and serenity, even in the midst of life’s challenges and difficulties.
The idea is that when we have faith in God, trust in His plan, and seek His presence through prayer and devotion, we can experience a peace that transcends worldly circumstances. It’s the kind of peace that provides comfort, assurance, and a sense of well-being. The passage from Philippians 4:6-7 (mentioned earlier) is often cited as a reference to the peace of God, where it states that this peace will guard our heart and mind in Christ Jesus we then turn to God in prayer and thanksgiving.
So, in this noisy and wonderful world we live in, we need to trust God enough to be able to surrender and have His Peace to navigate our daily lives.
Finally, Psalms 46:10;
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!
