What is FREEDOM?
A state of not being in prison or enslaved. It is also a state of not being subject to or affected by anything, e.g, life, demonic forces, or even demonic strongholds, etc.
Freedom is a concept deeply cherished by humanity, often associated with the ability to make choices, pursue desires, and live life on our own terms. But there’s a unique and profound aspect of freedom that transcends worldly definitions ā freedom in God. In this blog post, we will explore the spiritual dimension of freedom, examining how surrendering to God can lead to the ultimate liberation of the soul.
Throughout history, humans have sought freedom as an important longing of the heart. We seek freedom from oppression, freedom of expression, and freedom to follow our dreams. However, there is a yearning for something more profound ā freedom from the burdens of self, freedom from fear, and freedom to find purpose beyond the material world.
As Christians, we have been taught that true freedom is found in God’s love and surrendering to His wisdom. Here are some key aspects of this concept:
Freedom from Prideš¤: Pride often binds us to desires, insecurities, and attachments. Surrendering to God’s love and wisdom can free us from the limitations of Pride, allowing us to see beyond our self-imposed boundaries and ego.
1 John 2:16
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Freedom from Fearšµāš«: Fear of the unknown, fear of death, and fear of the future can weigh heavily on the human soul. Believing in God’s love and providence can alleviate these fears, offering a sense of security and peace.
2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Freedom to Serveš«”: To be honest, true freedom is often found in service to others. When we align our actions with God’s will, we discover the freedom to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Matthew 20:26
Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.
Freedom from Materialism(cares of life): The pursuit of material possessions can lead to a sense of entrapment. Recognizing that worldly goods do not define us or opens the door to spiritual freedom.
2 Corinthians 4:18
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Freedom to Love Unconditionallyš„µš: God’s love is unconditional, and as we draw closer to Him, we learn to love others without judgment or conditions.š«£š« *the struggle*
Proverbs 17:17 A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.
The Journey of Surrender:
Embracing freedom in God is not a one-time event but a lifelong journey. It involves:
Faith: Believing in the presence and love of God, even when we can’t see or touch it.
Prayer and Meditation: These practices help us connect with God and seek guidance in our lives.
Letting Go: Releasing the need to control every aspect of our lives and trusting in God’s plan. *Let it go like Elsa*š
Gratitude: Recognising and appreciating the blessings in our lives, both big and small.
Service: Actively seeking opportunities to help others and make a positive impact on the world.
Conclusion:
True freedom is not found in the external world but within the depths of our souls. It’s a freedom that transcends circumstances and empowers us to live with purpose, love unconditionally, and find peace in the embrace of God’s love. By embarking on the journey of surrender and seeking freedom in God, we open our hearts to a profound liberation that allows us to live more fulfilling and spiritually enriched lives.
Christians need to experience freedom in Christ. Look at Galatians 5:1 (Amp) It was for this freedom that Christ set us free [completely liberating us]; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery [which you once removed].
Shadrach(Sadrat), Meshach(Meancat), and Abednego(Abendygoat), Daniel’s friends from my previous post on courage. They knew this Freedom in Christ that made them courageous even in the face of the burning fiery furnace, and they were not consumed.
Follow the way of life with limitations or God’s ways that are more profiting, superior, intelligent, and more time redeeming.
Tap into the Wisdom of God to do the will of God that is allocated for your lifting, bearing in mind that our victory and freedom is dependent on knowing the Wisdom of God.
Never take any step without knowing what God’s will is. The Wisdom of God makes all things work together for our good and because we love God most importantly. Romans 8:28
Proverbs 4:18-22 (AMP)
But the path of the just (righteous) is like the light of dawn, That shines brighter and brighter until [it reaches its full strength and glory in] the perfect day.
