Jeremiah 29:11 reads, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (NIV).
To REST means to relax into something and let it support you.
Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7, NIV)
Has God ever told you to rest?
To rest in the midst of a storm, rest when things are going topsy-turvy 😵💫. When you don’t know how to pay the next bill, when you don’t know how to feed yourself, not to talk about feeding your dependent (children if you have). Hmmmm………
Do you know the Rest in this context means TRUST!!!! Trust Me……says God 😇
Trust means reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence.
To trust is to believe in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of something. So, when it comes to trusting God, that means believing in His reliability, His Word, His ability, and His strength. The Bible says that God can not lie. That He always keeps His promises. He loves you and has good in store for you. Trusting in Him means believing what He says about Himself, about the world, and about you is true.
Can you trust in uncertainty? Can you trust when you can’t see a way out.
But God………..Psalm 18:18
God indeed can be trusted. As humans, we struggle to trust because of impatience, heartbreak from past experiences, disappointments, etc. But God is not man that He should lie, neither is He a son of man that he should repent Numbers 23:19.
God can be Trusted. He is ever Faithful and wants the best for Us.
All He wants is our Trust in Him. God wants us to REST and just play your part by thanking Him even when you haven’t seen the miracle.
Thanksgiving provokes the Hands of God and activates the miracles.
Trust your Father, He is not your earthly father that fails. He is God all by Himself.
